Hour's to South Africa

Hi
Hi All,
The pictures above are Traci's sassy new hair do. I like it, she likes it, we all like it
Declan in shadow w/ a small drum. The last photo is of an Albatross skimming the surface.
The last day of this Voyage from Takoradi Ghana to Cape Town SA is relatively close to the coast (50-70 NM) The voyage from takordadi to cape town is 2603 nautical miles.
We are ready for 6 days off the ship.
Before we arrive in any port we have logistical pre-port meetings that have to do w/ a number of different topics from safety, money, location as well as health. Traci's crew is now by far the most anticipated talk because they put on a skit or a song or something wacky.
The other is the Cutural Pre -port . In this case we have Archbishop TuTu giving our pre-port. Not bad :)
Kids are doing well and have made some nice friend w/ other kids as well as many students.
Traci is busy w/ the clinic and lecturing from time to time on Peace corp as well as NP info. We hope you are all well as we head back into spring in SA! The stars were out last night we could see Mars burning red on the western horizon

  1. Traci I love the new hairdo! Enjoy your time off the ship and the spring weather! Today really feels like fall weather and the kids are excited to pick apples and pumpkins at Smolak farm. I'm feeling better everyday and loving every minute with little G (as the kids have been calling him). Callum doesn't seem to mind having a baby brother, but reminds me to "put him in the basket" a lot! Here's a note to Layne, Anna, and Dec from Sadie: It was really weird when you kissed the fish! What place did you like best so far? What do you eat on the ship? I miss you, love, Sadie:)
