Dreaming in Cape Town

"...Continue to be idealistic...dream, dream, dream the craziest dreams." Desmond Tutu

I love Desmond Tutu's messages. I love the way he laughs. I love what he stands for. He embodies goodness and kindness.

I/we are beyond excited to be in South Africa! I have dreamed of one day coming here and now we are in the port of Cape Town surrounded by its beauty.

This morning we are going to take the cable car up Table Mountain to take in the majestic view. Tomorrow we will go on safari!

The last night of our stay here, we will celebrate Desmond Tutu's birthday on the ship!!! A small group of us from the shipboard community and 150+ of his South African friends will attend! Stay tuned...

Thank you all for your notes in the comment section - keep them coming! We miss all of you. Enjoy your Sunday wherever you might be...

  3. Reading about your journey and seeing your incredible pictures from our kitchen in little Belmont, looking out onto a chilly and sunny fall morning makes us so excited and inspired by your family adventure. Victoria is thrilled that she and Anna are now connected! Tell Anna not to worry, 3rd grade at Wellington is really terrific (each of the teachers are fantastic, promise!) and she'll have all her good friends to come home to. Victoria has always loved cheetahs and is wondering if Anna might be able to share some stories about the cheetah visit? One of her favorite books is Caring for Cheetahs, My African Adventure, and is about the Cheetah Conservation Fund and the amazing people and animals there. I believe it takes place in Namibia. Keep your adventures coming, we love tracking them, it's now part of our whole family's daily routine! xo the Lesser's
