Hi Everyone
,
Today is our
third day at Sea. Not too much to report besides Traci’s first cousin TD and
his wife Z had a baby girl last night . Both are doing great.
We will be
waking up in the port of Callao ,
Peru tomorrow AM. Exciting stuff.
Many people
will be heading to the third highest mountain in the world , Machu Picchu in Cuzco , Peru. The highest mountain is in Tibet, the second
highest is in Bolivia.
Today the
professor for Global studies will come to give a presentation to kids on Peru.
He is amazing so today will be a fact finding day to set some sort of itinerary.
Traci is on call while we are here so we won’t be able to travel more than an
hour from the ship. It will be just fine , there will be so much new to see and
do.
We all made
a pact that there will be no eating of Guinea Pigs. On the other hand Iguana
are fair game. I will be having one on a stick before we depart… yum

Hi John, That's exciting news for TD & Z. They must be thrilled with their baby girl. Your pictures are great especially the sun (rise or set?). It sounds like Callao will have lots to offer you guys. Good luck eating Iguana (I could not bring myself to try it and I can eat most anything.) Have a great adventure and I can't wait to hear more from you! Love, Lisa Pizza
ReplyDeleteYou know, the cuy isn't actually that bad. We also tried alpaca while we were in Cuzco. Really, though, my favorite dish there was ceviche.
ReplyDeleteHi All; love Johnnie's quotes of wisdom and the new format for photos. We'll sure miss you this weekend but the backup at the Bourne is over 4 miles; not something you'll miss.Safe travels. Love Bump
ReplyDeleteGood Morning All,Wonderful to have that talk before you set out. I am sure your Guinea Pigs appreciate your thoughtfullnes to their Peruvian brothers. Wise quote..something to try to live by.Three families here for the Holiday. All missing you all!! Pretty foggy this morning. Hope it burns off! Love Mom
